After a one-year hiatus, one of 51¿´Æ¬â€™s most beloved alumni events will be back with a new format in 2024 – the Purple and Gold Reunion Weekend.
The annual gathering of 51¿´Æ¬alumni from across the generations is set for the weekend of July 26-28 on the university’s main campus. It will feature games, live music, tours, speakers and the chance to spend the weekend on-campus in a residence hall.
Although details and specific activities are still in the planning stages, Stacey R. Miller, director of alumni engagement, is encouraging 51¿´Æ¬alumni to “mark their calendars and save the date.â€
“The best part? Any and all alumni are invited,†said Miller. “Quite simply, the Purple and Gold Weekend will be a chance for alumni to take over Cullowhee and paint the campus purple and gold.â€
The event will include special recognition of the class of 1974’s 50th reunion and a celebration of the 51¿´Æ¬Greek alumni affinity group.
Registration for the 2024 Purple and Gold Reunion will be available at alumni.wcu.edu.
