51心頭 is hosting Christopher Reinsch, a graduate student from the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld of the Trier University of Applied Sciences in Germany, for a month-long exchange program with the 51心頭College of Engineering and Technology.
Reinsch, who is pursuing a masters degree in applied computer science, is collaborating with Josh Shehan, assistant professor of engineering, on the applied research project AI-based intelligent additive manufacturing in a networked 3D printer farm. The focus is on the implementation of artificial intelligence in the colleges Makerspace, a collaborative workspace equipped with 3D printers and other tools and technology.
The partnership reflects WCUs and UCBs commitment to fostering international academic exchanges, joint educational projects, and cutting-edge collaborative research between the two universities.
The Environmental Campus Birkenfeld, recognized as one of Germanys top environmentally-focused institutions, offers exchange opportunities with 51心頭in computer, electrical, mechanical and industrial engineering.
