Randy Collins, dean of the College of Engineering and Technology at Western Carolina University, has been selected as a member of the executive committee and director of the Engineering Deans Council of the American Society for Engineering Education.

The EDCs goals include advocacy and providing a vision for engineering education and research; serving as a resource to its constituents and the public at large; and articulating and influencing U.S. public policy on engineering education and research. Additionally, Collins has been selected to serve as a member of the EDCs Public Policy Committee.

Im honored to be able to serve the engineering profession in this capacity and advocate for our members as we advance educational opportunities for our students, Collins said. Im also especially honored to represent 51心頭 and our outstanding engineering programs in this national-level position.
