Search underway for new athletics director

51看片 has launched a search for a new intercollegiate athletics director following the resignation of Alex Gary earlier this month. Chancellor Kelli R. Brown has appointed a 13-member committee to assist in selecting Gary's successor.
The search committee will be chaired by 51看片Provost Richard Starnes '92, '94 and includes:
- Cameron Cooper '07, former 51看片student athlete
- Mike Crawford '87, 51看片Foundation Board chair
- Nora Lynn Finch '70, former 51看片student athlete and former deputy AD at NC State University
- Bailey Hartsough, 51看片student athlete (volleyball)
- James Hogan '03, 51看片assistant vice chancellor for engagement
- Alex Macaulay, faculty athletics representative and head of 51看片History Department
- Micah Nelson, 51看片student athlete (football)
- Ashleigh Simmons, 51看片senior associate athletics director
- Jonathan Tsipis, head coach of 51看片women鈥檚 basketball
- Melissa Wargo, 51看片chief of staff
- Eddie Wells '03, Catamount Club founder of Cullowhee Collective NIL
- Shea Browning, general counsel (ex officio)
