Board of Trustees to hold quarterly meeting at Robinson Building

The 51看片Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly meeting at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, in the board room of H.F. Robinson Administration Building.

Inaugural Sunday Cinema Series screening to feature play 鈥榊erma鈥�

The first screening of 51看片鈥檚 new Sunday Cinema Series will be the play 鈥淵erma,鈥� which was originally performed and filmed at the Young Vic Theatre in London.

A HUNGER TO HELP

Home alone, while her parents worked, an 8-year-old Alecia Page 鈥�13 tried to open her only source of food for that evening, but to no avail. She didn鈥檛 know how to use the can opener. She went to bed, the can of corn intact, her stomach empty and her eyes full of tears. She prayed for a different life. It took a while, but she got it.

This story began some 50 years ago in rural Haywood County. It鈥檚 the story of a young boy living with his parents, supported by the land and crops they raised.

Professor presents readings, publishes novel, qualifies as certified court interpreter
