After being canceled in 2020 because of the global COVID-19 pandemic, WCU鈥檚 Faculty and Staff Excellence Awards resumed, albeit in a limited capacity form.

The UNC Board of Governors appointed Timothy 鈥淛ake鈥� Robinson of Canton, to the 51看片Board of Trustees, while also reappointing current board members, Robert 鈥淏ob鈥� Roberts of Asheville, Haden Boliek of Fayetteville, and Casey Cooper of Cherokee.
